Mill Race Festival of Trees 2020
Introducing the first Annual Festival of Trees
The decorated trees will be set up around the village as part of the Christmas in the Village event on December 11th and 12th and will remain there until after Christmas.
Cost for tree sponsorship: $75 ($50 for non-profits*)
Live 5’- 6’ pine trees and wooden stands will be provided by the Northville Historical Society.
Sponsors will light and decorate their trees. Solar lights only, please, as we cannot accommodate outside electrical needs.
The Festival of Trees Committee will pick one tree to receive the Best of Show prize of $100.
Decorations should be waterproof and weatherproof. Cardboard and paper ornaments are discouraged unless they are laminated.
Ornaments should be wired to your tree to stand up to wind. Normal ornament hooks will not be sufficient.
The Northville Historical Society will not be responsible for anything stolen from a tree. Please remember that these trees will be showcased in a public park and decorate accordingly.
The Northville Historical Society will provide a sign for your tree, with the name of the sponsoring person, family, or company.
Trees can be decorated on December 8th, 9th and 10th. All trees must be finished by 5:00 pm on December 10th.
Please don’t use anything edible as a decoration as we don’t want to attract animals.
Tree locations will be assigned at random.
Decoration pick up will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at the Cady Inn.
The Northville Historical Society reserves the right to remove any decorations that are deemed offensive or political. Advertising (such as business cards or brochures) is not allowed on your tree.
