About The Event

Come join us with his family for a service remembering Mr. William Dunlap who passed away on April 10, 1878.  We honor Mr. Dunlap, one of the earliest pioneers and founding fathers of Northville, Michigan.  In 1831 he and his family journeyed from New York to settle in what would become Northville, and his home (originally built that year) now stands — transformed — as the town’s American Legion Hall.    Dunlap also played a role in establishing the first public cemetery in Northville by deeding land, along with others, to be used as a free burying ground.

Tickets are still available - $45 for the public ($23 tax deductible) and $40 for NHS members

($20 tax deductible). Contact Suemarie Klimek at 248-348-1845, Option 2, for tickets.
